Architectural Masonry: NRG® Block Insulated Concrete Masonry Units
The NRG insulated masonry unit increases your project's thermal mass. This system uses an expanded polystyrene insulation, installed at the plant, which forms a continuos thermal barrier, inclusive of the mortar joints, between the exterior and interior environments. There are no "web" connections, thus no energy breaks between the exterior wall veneer and the interior core. This unique thermal mass design reduces air temperature fluctuations while exceeding the strength of masonry construction.
